How much will my website cost?

That very much depends on the size and complexity of the site, and whether you require logo or graphic design, or pictures taken.

As a general idea:

- Initial Consultation: € 40
(This is deducted from your final bill if you choose to go ahead with the site)

- 5 to 10 page site without logo design & basic graphics: € 350

- Logo design/graphic design: add € 150

- Contact page and/or guestbook: add € 50

- Digital Photography (ie of your premises/staff): add € 100

Do you take care of registration and hosting?

Yes. I will arrange domain registration and hosting if required. For hosting services I use www.hostingireland.ie

What about maintenance after the site has gone live?

Maintenance can be arranged with a flat monthly rate (amout dependent on amount/regularity of updates) or on an ad-hoc basis at an hourly rate.

How long will it take?

That does depend on the scope of the site, but usually no more than 3-4 weeks.

Can I sell goods online?

Yes and no! If you are looking to take payment online, my services are not for you - look for an e-commerce designer. However with a brochure site you can display your products, with pictures and descriptions, and with a maintenence agreement keep these regularly updated.

How does my site get on to search engines?

There is no instant way to get your site to the 'top of the rankings'. But there are lines of code in a website that 'communicate' with search engines, and if these are done well can improve your sites 'searchability'. Of course the best way is to pay - sites such as google offer inexpensive packages to get your site more exposure.
